The boat I didn't know I wanted

Cruises,

The boat I didn't know I wanted

A simple cruise, twelve guests, and a sustainable choice.

Article

I was craving Sicily. A few days among the Aeolian Islands, maybe Marettimo or a dawn swim in Portopalo. I was looking for a comfortable boat — twelve guests, no complications — something I already knew. As always, I made a call.

On the other end, the usual voice. Calm. No packaged offers, just the right questions. And then, as an aside: “If you want, there’s one with silent propulsion, hybrid technologies, without compromises.”

There was no pressure. Just a gentle invitation. An alternative that left room for curiosity. So, without big decisions, I chose something that went beyond the boat. A different way of sailing.

On board, time seemed to stretch. The sound of the sea, true silence, the hull moving slowly and lightly. No environmental proclamations, no rhetoric. Just a new harmony. One of those silences that speaks volumes.

And then, the truth: this story didn’t really happen. Or maybe it did, somewhere. But it could. It’s believable. It’s a real possibility, even today.

I didn’t change the world. But I imagined how it could be. And sometimes, it’s worth telling the story.
